Sometimes when I'm riding the metro and feeling particularly morose (an event that is suspiciously congruent to the time since my last meal) I look at the people around and think, 'I could be secretly screaming inside and nobody would notice'. I take in the face of every passenger wondering if any one of them would come up to a perfect stranger and ask "What's wrong?". Then the thought occurs to me that maybe everybody's secretly screaming and we're all too busy feeling dejected to notice.
Anyway, on that happy note, I would like to dedicate today's post to the Dubai Metro - That wonderful hunk of sterile metal and glass whose advertising campaign "Every ride has a story" (where a 9-5 worker writes AND PUBLISHES his novel between metro rides) has guilt-tripped me into finally sitting my behind down and making a post.
So finally, after a whole month (honestly, it did NOT seem that long to me), I give you this absurdly long comic. I am particularly proud of the 'MsPaintwork' (artwork seemed too strong a word) on this one; but if in the pursuit of a better looking post anyone thinks my storylines are getting a little shoddy, do give a shout out.
And yes, next time I'm sticking to stick figures.
