Marketing 101



In case anybody missed it, this comic is referencing '18 again',  a Vaginal tightening cream to hit the Indian market and their epic, epic ad campaign. Anybody who hasn't already, watch it now, but be warned, that feeling of your eyes and ears being violated never really goes away.

  1. I wonder when this ad is going to hit Indian TVs... And if it does, I am pretty sure it's gonna give media "breaking news" for couple of days!!

  2. This product sure makes a lot of tall claims. Somehow after scouring the net on details regarding the FDA approval, I cannot seem track any details of the same nor nothing turns up on the 18 again product on FDA website.
    (I would love to see more details on the tall claims, research and documents that prove the efficacy of their findings. This should me made publicly available on their site if there is nothing to hide, dont you think.) I feel like this is just another product like all the Skin whitening products that claim only prolonged use can sustain its effect (GOD KNOWS if any of those products really work) but its drilled into indian minds by the media and society the natural dusk indian complexion is something to be ashamed of we should look like white ppl in the WEST only then are we find success in school and work, ONLY then we wont be a social outcast, ONLY then can we be a successful Star, ONLY THEN CAN WE FIND LOVE or attractive MATE!!! IF IN FACT this 18 again is FOR REAL, I can't deny that it would not be a boon to women, suffering from Infection, Vaginal flatulence etc. women with loosened vagina's after pregnancy who are not able to enjoy sex as they once did, and are considering vaginoplasty surgery. HOWEVER, I feel the only reason focus on the healthy BUT LOOKING at how this product has been positioned or what the 18 Again ad portrays, is just distasteful and a JOKE to women everywhere. Singing "LIKE A VIRGIN" doing the salsa, and possible a 70 year old grandma checking the site with the men leering?! Is sign of women EMPOWERMENT! Throughout this page and other forums the 18 again team responsible to market and promote this product claims that 18 again "is a complete solution for vaginal health". ummm correct me if im wrong should nott that have been the focus of your campaign?! "A complete solution for vaginal health" , i am pretty certain that many women focus groups would have stood by that.RATHER THAT 18 again, HELL you might as well call it 16 again or 14 again and dance and sing "LIKE A VIRGIN" IF this really is that good a product you have just made an utter mockery of it. But to depict women as desirable or Confident or as you keep campaigning "Woman on Top" only if they are " LIKE Virgins" in ad campaigns is absolutely aggravating and ridiculous and a JOKE! 18 Again's campaign falls into the VERY same category of advertising of Fairness and whitening creams / bleaching creams etc that OPPRESS women NOT EMPOWER THEM!!
